why me?

so my car got broken into again... looks like they rigged the lock and were able to get in quietly. Looks like they tried to actually steal the car since the column was busted up and the ignition stuff was semi-torn out. They couldn't and the car still starts so it's driveable. Which is fortunate. Unfortunately, they took the CD Player... again. Looks like another $600-$1000 in repairs for me... stupid stupid... and I may not drive home after all. I hate it here.

only 2 more days... hurry up!

alone in this sea of green
blind by eyes too keen
alone at the ocean's feet
slowly it begins to creep
quiet the waves beat down
as the sun sets in majestic crown

alone as darkness falls
alone to see the golden halls
arise oh sweet King fair
and deliver this world of despair
rise anew and bring aloft
gentle winds to sweep a canvas soft

alone again in crowded streets
alone for all eternal sleep
fearsome wind as canvas beats
darkness brewing in the deep

yeah, it's bed time now. sorry, I just felt like writing something. if it's too cynical, I'll take it off.

I guess I should update huh?

I think it's come down to my updating on a weekly basis now since I don't really have time over the week to do much of anything. Anyway, this past week has been fairly busy and kinda stressful. I'm nursing a headache right now and my remedy is to sleep. It works for me so... yeah. Work has become a bit more hectic, Jeremy (another Level 4 tech) and I got chewed out by the tech manager because we had a large number of phones that were unrepaired and he wanted 30 a night per tech (there are only 5 of us total) which is a near impossibility given our current work processes and work load. So we had a meeting the next day to avoid being chewed out for 2 hours that night (it ended up being a 30 minute thing on the phone that night). But anyway, we're all back on mandatory overtime, which I still don't really understand how that is legal, but I don't mind really. I think that CAT may offer me a position there soon cuz they made me take a drug test and vision/hearing exam. So we'll see...

Class seems to be okay. I passed Microcomputers and started Avionics Fundamentals (AV 1). It's the first Avionics class for the degree, so I'm looking forward to learning about actual Avionics. It's also nice to be on the North Campus. The facilities there are much better and more up-to-date than the main campus... they have poor equipment on the main campus (everything's usually broken, I had to fix a trainer for Micro because I was "using" it). Anyway, that's all really... Saturday, I had to work... so that killed the weekend and today, I went to church and then took a nap. After my nap, I went to Robert's place and we had a little class dinner party, which was fun. Actually, I just got back from that ^_^ I like his kids, they're a lot of fun... a handful, but a lot of fun. But that was my week. Not too exciting, but it was definitely full. Kinda repetitious aside from the occasssional get together but eh... you do get used to it... though I am definitely looking forward to getting out of here and doing more stuff. I should be going to bed now though so I'm off ^_^

God bless!

Ah... Saturdays...

The end of another day...

I ended up working today for a few hours which was good. I didn't get a chance to work on a lot of stuff cuz there was a lot of paperwork to do but at least I got paid to do something. After work, I kinda dinked around the apartment for a few hours. I put in a movie and ended up falling asleep. I guess I needed it. And then I got bored (it was around 8 at this point) so I went to visit Wal-Mart and got dinner. I bought a movie there and just finished watching it. I thought it was pretty good. It was also interesting to see Jet Li in that kind of a role (the movie is called "Unleashed"). Also, it made me really want to learn how to play the piano but alas, I have no time or money to do so.

So I was surfing on the internet, quite literally and I thought to myself... why not do a church search for the greater Tulsa area, I just might find something. So I did. As I'm looking into the dull glow of the monitor and quickly glance through the literally hundreds of churches around the area, I stumbled across an interesting site. All Nations Fellowship is a church designed around multi-cultural unity. And of course, I was intrigued. I'm not sure why... anyway, I clicked around some more and thought it was pretty kewl that they're located in a library of all places. It was unexpected on my part. I'm hooked but hesitant. I don't like new situations and stuff like that but I'm gonna go anyway - so I'm going out on a limb, it's okay cuz God's telling me to go. Maybe there's something for me there ^_^ Yay for being uncomfortable, hehe. Anyway, it's late. I guess I have to be ready for tomorrow, who knows what will happen eh? To bed I go... G'night!

Late Nights

Yes, it is late... again. I think I've almost gotten used to the regular 13 hr days now. Not quite there yet though. But really, I'm just looking forward to the next couple of weeks. I'll be home for Thanksgiving break and there will be lots of food. That'll be a nice change of pace. Next week is the end of my Microprocessor class (finally!) and then I start the Avionics classes over on the North Campus on Friday. Six months of that and then it's back to gen ed classes to finish off the degree... that's really only a little more than a year away, crazy. It's felt like it's all gone by so fast... but when I look at day to day happenings and events... feels like it drags on forever. I guess that's how it should be huh? You spend so much time just wanting it to fly by and be done with it and then you look back and you wish it didn't go by so fast. Funny how we're wired that way... dang culture. So yeah, that's a part of why I like my family so much... we're much more laid back I think. We do stuff when there's a need... usually though, there isn't one. Aside from work, school, cooking, cleaning... we tend to just hang out with each other. I guess that's why we're all so close and I miss them so.

Speaking of family. I saw Robert's family yesterday. I like his family. I think they remind me of the ideal family except that Robert goes to school AND works just to support his family. I admire him for that. The more I see his family and hang out with his two sons, the more I feel like I want a family of my own. Of course, I realize that there's no way I'm gonna have one now. Even if it were possible, physically, mentally, & emotionally... I'm not ready... not for that. Plus I don't think I'd like to make that kind of committment just yet, too much work and plenty of other stuff to do before that. Still makes ya wonder though :-P

Well, it's getting later and later. I suppose I should shuffle my little body into bed to rest it for another long day. Adios! Bon soir! A bientot!

Okay... for serious now :-P

I guess it's time for an update huh? Well, to be truthful, there hasn't been a lot happening here in Tulsa. Class is almost over again and I'm still working. I didn't get much done tonight as far as actual work because... well... I had a lot of phones that were pretty much unfixable. Meaning they were just scrapped/junked. One or two is fine but when I scrapped 70% of the phones I worked on... yeah, that's not good. I'll probably get talked to when I go in for work tomorrow.

Oh, I went home last weekend. That was sweet. It was nice to be home... even if I was only there for maybe 24 hrs. I like the people there ^_^ It would have been better if a certain somebody was there, but alas she's is Tours, France. It's kewl though cuz I will see her soon :-D I also figured out how to call internationally with my phone (yeah, it took awhile... I looked on like 10 sites on how to dial and only one method worked)! Also, I got sick this past weekend. I was already kinda feeling under the weather, so I think all the driving just added to the condition of my body. Presently, I'm just coughing and sneezing a lot and I think I have a moderate fever... but it's hard to tell cuz I just feel warm and I don't have a thermometer. Overall, I'm okay though. I think I left the Microprocessor trainer board at home though (oops!). I was supposed to fix it but I just ended up forgetting it there and now my instructor wants it back tomorrow (uh oh). Yeah, I'm in trouble. Nothing unusual there. Anyway, I should go... it's late, I'll try to update a little more tomorrow night after work.
